"There are four clans in Gitxaala, my home village, also known as Kitkatla. I was born Eagle and it is the first of the series of four clans, or tribes as they are also known at home. My father, Art Vickers, was born under the Orca totem. We grew up loving to see the dorsal fins of the Orca as they came by to visit us in the village. I’m inspired by the sight of an Orca Dorsal as it breaks the ocean surface."
